At the earliest stage of your project or request for digital work, involve the Digital Team and we will help you work out who your key users are and plan the structure, content and visual design.
We will advise you which webpage design is applicable to your area and the elements within the design that can be modified to suit your project, group or department.

The Recruitment templates are used on all the major web pages across the University website, including the study sites (Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Postgraduate Research) and Faculty and Departments websites. These pages are responsive and work on both desktop and mobile devices. All new sites going forward will be built using this template.
The quickest way to identify if your site is currently using this set of templates is to see if the title of the site appears in a long, green horizontal bar across the top of the page, and if the navigation menu appears on the left of the screen.
Example sites using the recruitment templates:
We no longer have different colours for different departments, faculties or research groups. The University branding colour palette is now site wide.

Websites using the Approved Responsive templates are characterised by the navigation running horizontally across the top of the page, with dropdown menus. These pages work on both desktop and mobile devices.
The Approved Responsive templates are still supported by the digital team however all new websites are built using the Recruitment style.
If your site uses the Approved Responsive templates then you can get advice and guidance on how to create new pages by visiting our Responsive templates website.
