Using their expertise in qualitative, quantitative and evaluative methods, and the experience (including lived experience) of others as appropriate, members of the network assess and evaluate policies and practices to better understand how and why people are subject to violence and injustice and the most effective methods for combatting these.
Some of our research themes include:
- Understanding and addressing cultural, political and historical meanings and practices of violence
- Justice systems, accountability, and legal processes
- Lived experiences of violence and injustice, and trauma-informed practice
- The complex role of technology as both an instrument of violence and a tool to address injustice
