Studying Spanish at the 樱花动漫, you will join an energetic and sociable cohort of researchers, educators, and fellow students. At the heart of our Department is our pioneering , providing excellent teaching by experienced professionals.
Spanish is the second most spoken language in the world, with speakers in 21 countries across Europe and the Americas contributing to the huge importance of the language worldwide. You will explore the history and evolution of Spain and the Hispanic world and be introduced to inspiring works of art and literature, including the visual arts, painting and cinema. Our experts will teach you across a great range of subjects, from the Spanish Civil War, to poetry of the Golden Age, to Latin American cinema.
Students have the option of spending their third year in a Spanish-speaking country such as Spain or Mexico. You could be studying at one of our renowned partner universities such as or in Spain and in Mexico, teaching English as part of a British Council placement (subject to availability), or gaining valuable employment experience and practical applied learning by working abroad.

You can study Spanish through three pathways:

1. Focus on Spanish and graduate with a BA in Spanish
Apply to BA Modern Languages through UCAS.

3. Study Spanish with a second subject
Combine Spanish with Arabic, Art History & Visual Culture, Classical Studies, English, Film Studies, History, International Relations, Latin, Politics, Philosophy or Sociology.
