Module description

This module forms the research project component of the BSc Honours Medical Imaging (Diagnostic Radiography) degree.

Module aims - intentions of the module

To enable you to engage in self-directed and group study. To plan, undertake and evaluate a research project and to write up this project suitable for publication. This module builds on the foundation of the level 1 module PAM1016 (Evidence-based Professional Practice) and the level 2 module PAM2007 (Project Studies 1). During this module you will investigate systematically and in-depth an area of particular interest and direct relevance to the field of study.

  • 2. Produce a research report suitable for publication in a peer-reviewed scientific journal;

  • 6. Work cooperatively in a group, taking responsibility for day-to-day running of the project;

  • 9. Use appropriate IT skills for data acquisition, data processing, presentation of results, etc.

You will work as part of a group under the supervision of a member of staff to select, pilot and undertake a research project using a methodology that is appropriate to the research question. Refer to the??for more information.
