Meet the Global Opportunities Development Team
The Head of Global Opportunities - supported by our Partnerships Manager and our team of Global Development Advisors - lead the University’s student mobility strategy, building and managing our 300 global exchange partnerships. Working with trusted collaborators on flagship programmes - such as the MITACs Global Research Internship and Universities UK International (UUKi) - we create outstanding opportunities for students to study and research abroad.
Working closely with Faculties and our network of Study Abroad Academic Coordinators, we provide problem-solving support throughout the mobility process, helping to overcome challenges so students can expand their horizons, build lifelong connections, and graduate ready to make their mark on the global stage.

Head of Global Opportunities
With over 17 years of experience in international mobility, I lead strategic initiatives that expand global education access and enhance student experiences abroad. My career spans managing international exchange programmes, securing competitive government funding, and leading successful bids for Erasmus and Turing Scheme participation.
I have extensive experience in crisis management, having supported students through global disruptions including natural disasters, the Covid-19 pandemic, and geopolitical events—always prioritising safety and well-being.
As Chair of the UUKi Outward Student Mobility Network, I advocate for 140+ UK institutions, influencing government policy and championing funding for study and work abroad. I’m also a proud signatory of the Inclusive Professionals Commitment, reflecting my dedication to creating inclusive, supportive environments for all colleagues.
